The Humane Society of Greater Lansing (HSL) is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and caring for animals in the greater Lansing, Michigan area. Founded in 1927, HSL has been a steadfast advocate for animal welfare, providing a wide range of services to help animals in need.
HSL's mission is to "provide shelter, care, and adoption services for abandoned, neglected, and abused animals; to promote responsible pet ownership; and to advocate for the humane treatment of all animals."

Journey was found abandoned in a parking lot, severely injured and near death. HSL's veterinary team performed life-saving surgery to repair her broken leg and internal injuries. Journey recovered and found a loving forever home, where she is now a happy and healthy companion.
Max, a senior dog, wandered away from his home and was lost for several days. HSL's staff searched tirelessly for Max and organized a community search party. Eventually, Max was found and reunited with his overjoyed family.
Luna was found outside in the cold, abandoned and starving. HSL's staff provided Luna with care and nutrition, and she gradually regained her health. Luna eventually found a loving foster home, where she is now thriving in a safe and comfortable environment.
